Russian oil companies have increased the commissioning of new wells

Russian oil companies commissioned 2001 new oil wells in the first quarter of 2023 – 10% more than in the same period of 2022. This was reported to Vedomosti by two sources familiar with the statistics of the Ministry of Energy.

According to them, the increase in the indicator was accounted for by large vertically integrated oil companies, which increased the commissioning of wells by 11% to 1829 pcs. Other producers, including independent oil companies, reduced the commissioning of wells by 3% to 171 pcs. Another well in the first quarter of this year was introduced by the operator of the Sakhalin-2 production sharing agreement.
