Russian developed import-replacement tracking modules for vibration sources
Tests of the new modules will take place in the next two months, KMZ reported.
The Automotive Research Institute (NAMI), together with the military-industrial holding KMZ and the KAMAZ plant, created import-substituting tracked modules for vibration sources used in seismic exploration for the first time in Russia.
Previously, similar modules were supplied to Russia by the French company SERCEL. Now, thanks to the reengineering, domestic analogues have been developed, which will be installed on the KAMAZ chassis. This will allow not only to maintain and modernize French machines already in use, but also to create completely domestic installations for deep geological exploration.
The production of tracked modules is organized at the Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant, which has developed design documentation and prepared technological processes.
The new vibration source installed on the Russian chassis will allow powerful vibration signals to be sent to the ground, which will make it possible to analyze the nature and depth of mineral deposits.
